Method One

How One-to-One Tutor Bookings Work

This is the direct marketplace route. Your profile helps students understand what you teach, when you are available and what your session costs before they book.

01

Create Your Tutor Profile

Add your biography, subjects, experience, languages, teaching style, academic levels, profile image and supporting information.

02

Set Availability and Price

Publish the teaching times you can offer and the hourly price a student will see before requesting or confirming a session.

03

A Student Books and Pays

The student chooses an available slot and completes the required payment during the booking process.

04

You Deliver the Session

Attend on time, teach the agreed subject and provide a professional learning experience that matches the booking.

05

The Session Is Completed

Completion is recorded according to the platform workflow. Any valid issue or dispute must follow the published policy.

06

Eligible Earnings Become Available

When the session is completed and not refunded or resolved against the tutor, the eligible amount appears in the tutor dashboard for withdrawal under applicable terms.

Understand When Tutor Earnings Are Released

A student pays through the booking process before the session. The payment is not treated as immediately withdrawable tutor income. It moves through the platform’s completion, cancellation and dispute workflow first.

Completed SessionWhen the lesson is properly delivered and completed, eligible earnings may be released to the tutor dashboard.
Valid Cancellation or RefundIf a booking is cancelled or refunded according to policy, the related amount is not available for tutor withdrawal.
!
Disputed SessionA dispute should be reviewed using booking records, attendance, communication and applicable policy. A student should not automatically receive a refund merely by withholding approval after consuming a valid completed lesson.
Published Terms ControlThe final Tutor Agreement, Cancellation Policy, Refund Policy and Payment Terms should control every release, deduction and withdrawal decision.
No earning guarantee: Tutor income depends on profile quality, student demand, availability, pricing, client selection, lesson quality, platform eligibility and successful completion of work. AU Tutors should not promise a fixed number of students or a guaranteed monthly income.
Method Two

Selected Salary-Based Teaching Jobs Through Skillbriva

Some clients need a tutor for regular weekly teaching and prefer a fixed monthly salary instead of separate hourly bookings. AU Tutors can collect the requirement, prepare a clear job brief and route suitable opportunities through the Skillbriva marketplace workflow.

1The client explains the subject, student level, schedule, duration and expected monthly arrangement.
2The requirement is reviewed and converted into a structured tutor job brief.
3Tutors with a Skillbriva profile may apply directly to the posted opportunity.
4Tutors without a Skillbriva profile may provide a teaching website, portfolio and LMS link for consultant-assisted presentation.
5The client decides whether to interview, trial or select the tutor.
6If selected, the arrangement is documented as a salary-based teaching job rather than a commission-only opportunity.

Reducing the Risk of Teaching for a Month Without Payment

Salary-based work creates a different risk from hourly bookings. A tutor may teach for several weeks and then face delayed or missing payment. The preferred workflow is designed to document the arrangement and keep payments within an agreed platform process whenever possible.

01

Clear Job Brief

The subject, schedule, responsibilities, trial expectations, salary and duration should be defined before work begins.

02

Client Selection

The client reviews the tutor’s professional setup and makes the final decision to interview or hire.

03

Written Terms

Payment date, teaching schedule, cancellation rules and performance expectations should be recorded.

04

Platform Payment Where Available

Where the selected workflow supports it, client funds should be handled through the platform rather than relying only on an informal promise.

05

Teaching Records

Attendance, session notes, assignments and communication can help confirm that the agreed work was delivered.

06

Salary Release

Payment is released according to the documented arrangement, subject to platform rules, client funding and any valid dispute process.

Important: Platform involvement can reduce risk but cannot eliminate every commercial or payment risk. Tutors should read the job terms, confirm who is responsible for payment and avoid beginning long-term work without a documented arrangement.
Professional Tutor Setup

What Clients Often Want to Review Before Hiring a Tutor

For ongoing teaching jobs, clients may want more than a basic profile. A professional website, teaching portfolio, learning management system and complete marketplace profiles can help them understand how you teach and manage students.

Teacher Website

A professional website can present your teaching introduction, subjects, experience, lesson approach, contact path and evidence of your online teaching setup.

Teaching Portfolio

Your portfolio can include lesson samples, course outlines, worksheets, approved feedback, qualifications and examples that demonstrate your teaching quality.

Learning Management System

An LMS shows how you organize courses, live classes, recordings, assignments, quizzes, student access, progress and learning resources.

Complete Platform Profiles

Your AU Tutors and Skillbriva profiles should contain consistent information, suitable images, subjects, availability, skills and professional links.

Optional Guidance

Need Help Building Your Website, Portfolio, LMS and Profiles?

Many capable teachers are new to professional online tutoring setup. They may know their subject well but need practical guidance to create a teaching website, present a portfolio, organize an LMS and build complete marketplace profiles.

When a tutor application does not include a website, portfolio or LMS link, AU Tutors may recommend an introductory guidance session with Ahmad Raza through the Ilm-us-Saba training platform. The purpose is to help teachers understand the complete setup required for a stronger online tutoring presence.
